NUM has launched version 4.0 of its Numroto tool grinding software. The release provides new features and enhancements, including features for ballnose and corner radius tools, automated documentation of fully-dimensioned wheel packages and grinding spindle power monitoring to facilitate adaptive grinding on specific machines. The software’s 3D simulation features now offer coolant holes in the 3D blank and DXF comparison profiles, as well as a measurement mode.
The software is designed to provide a direct and efficient path between tool design and manufacture. Featuring an integrated modeling-simulation-interpolation chain, it avoids sequential CAD-to-CAM and CAM-to-CNC translation phases to sidestep multiple data format changes and emulations.
