Hypertherm’s ProNest 2019 provides an update of the company’s CAD/CAM nesting software for automated cutting. Updates include raster-to-vector conversion to change .jpeg files and similar images into CAD files; fly cutting for laser cutting on thin material and the ability to pierce without slowing down or stopping the cutting head; Design2Fab 6 integration, enabling operators to access fittings from ProNest; and drag rotation for faster manual nesting and better plate utilization.
Operators can use updated ProNest LT and ProNest LTS for lighter production environments. The software includes features that facilitate cutting process automation and expand operator capability through Industry 4.0 integration with ERP/MRP systems. ProNest supports Hypertherm SureCut technology, which includes True Hole, Rapid Part and True Bevel, and may be used with a variety of cutting methods, such as plasma, laser, waterjet, oxyfuel and combination punch.
