Distributed by Tapmatic, OMG’s variable center-distance multispindle heads include the T series, the VH series and the TSI-TSX series. Designed for drilling and tapping machines, the T range includes heads that can drill to depths of 22 mm and tap up to M16, with a maximum of 26 spindles. According to the company, the heads are easy to use and increase machine output.
The VH series features a gear drive inside the head to enable speeds of 4,000 rpm, drilling depths ranging to 25 mm and tapping ranging to M20. The body of the head is made of alloy aluminum and the gears and spindles are made of heat-treated, ground steel for increased precision and wear resistance. Available in 31 different models with two, three and four spindles or just one offset spindle, the heads’ center distances range from 12 to 300 mm. Custom fixed-center distance multispindle heads are also available for use on CNC machines.
The TSI-TSX series are two-spindle units designed for chamfering automotive gear teeth.
