Leaders-In background

The Mitsubishi Waterjet line is designed to complement EDM technology with the precision of the company’s controls and servo system. Software on the four-axis DX510 and DX612 features Intelligent Tapering Control, which corrects the natural tapering of the cut automatically. Through the CNC, it inclines the waterjet to ±2 degrees while pointing the jet toward the cutting direction. This process optimizes cutting speed in a contour with accurate wall straightness, the company says.

The machines are also available with a 125-hp, 90,000-psi pump from KMT. This intelligent, high-pressure pump design includes synchronized dual top ends, which enable constant jet pressure.
