For more than 40 years, has successfully served a variety of industries with precision machining and related services. Its highest priority is investing in the training and retention of all associates, machinists, toolmakers, engineers and management. The shop invests in state-of-the-art CNC machines, CAD/CAM systems, CMM inspection systems and robotics to keep its value-added services cost effective for its customers.
The company, which averages 175 employees, has three divisions. Its 100,000-square-foot Dayton facility houses Custom Machining (for prototype work) and Mass Production Divisions. The Mass Production Division specializes in machining ductile and gray iron castings and aluminum die castings for automotive parts such as steering knuckles, seat brackets and compressor details. Its Machined Painted Products Division, which houses a high-quality powder-coating system, is located in a 50,000-square-foot facility in nearby Huber Heights.
Millat Industries has quality certifications including ISO9001, TS16949, AS9100 and NADCAP non-conventional machining.
The video above shows an automated machining line at the shop used to machine aluminum compressor housings. The machine line is flexible and can accommodate parts as big as 5.5 inches in diameter.
