Heule Tool’s X-Bore tooling for the automated deburring of cross bores is available in four chipmaking tool versions to address four different challenges of deburring: Cofa, Cofa-X, Main Bore Tool and Cross Bore Deburring Tool.
Cofa removes burrs on the front and back of a drilled through hole on even and uneven surfaces in a single cycle. It radially removes the burrs without requiring the workpiece to be turned or the spindle to be stopped. The Cofa-X system is designed to handle three types of bores: those with identical or nearly-identical diameters crossing each other, bores which merge into one another, and crossing bores with offset centers. The Main Bore Tool deburrs cross bores that leave sharp edges, ideal for a central bore where several cross bores of various diameters lead in from different angles. It enables several cross bores to be machined right at the burr base. The Cross Bore Deburring Tool was developed to deburr oil bores by penetrating the cross bore and deburring the bore intersection in a process-safe manner. In addition to the classic crankshaft oil bore, it is suitable for complex intersecting bores and through holes with interrupted surfaces.
