Up! Helps Users Increase Uptime (and Maybe Win $300)
The company’s campaign is built around the digital nature of its machine tool service app and three steps of using it.

Up! LLC aims to make reducing unplanned downtime as easy as one, two, three. The company’s app is designed to help machine shops and manufacturers find and schedule machine tool service from independent providers, OEMs and distributors in three steps: users send a service request, then they receive a response, and finally they schedule repair services.
The three steps of using the app served as the inspiration for the company’s IMTS plans. The centerpiece is a contest that is running through the duration of the show. Users who download the app and register their email addresses between July 10 and September 14 (the last day of IMTS) are entered into a drawing for a $300 Amazon gift card. The drawings are taking place three times per day during the show. According to Up!’s director of customer success and sales, David Rhodes, the $300 gift cards and three drawings per day are meant to reinforce the idea that using the app is as easy as one, two three.
Rhodes adds that because Up!’s product is digital as opposed to a tangible object, it is extending its plans beyond the show. “We wanted something that doesn’t require people to stop by our booth,” he says. As such, any user who downloads the app and registers is eligible to win, whether or not they are at the show.
Still, attendees who do stop by the company’s booth can learn more about how the Up! app can benefit them and make their jobs easier, so it’s worth a visit.
