Open Mind Technology’s HyperMill 2016.2 CAD/CAM software has been certified by Autodesk Inc. for use with its Inventor 2017 software. According to the company, converting files from Inventor 2017 software to HyperMill offers an integrated and fully autonomous workflow, making the transition onto the CNC machine tool seamless.
This new authentication is designed to reduce errors and the workload for the end users. The big advantage for customers, according to the company, is that changes in the CAD data lead to an automatic update of the CAM operation. This is convenient for Inventor users as it enables them to invoke the CAM functionality of HyperMill within the familiar CAD interface.
