Bosch Rexroth has launched a roadshow-style campaign educating engineers and shops on drive and control technologies for factory automation. On these trips, Rexroth sales engineers discuss practical solutions to real customer problems. Since the inaugural trip in June 2016, the Rexroth road show trailer has visited more than 125 companies in the Great Lakes, Central and Northeastern regions of the United States. It also made a two-day stop at Bosch Connected World at the end of September in Chicago, Illinois, where thinkers and practitioners of Industry 4.0 technologies gathered to exchange ideas and learn about the future of automation. Overall, more than 1,200 visitors have experienced the trailer so far.
The company characterizes the trailer as a traveling trade show booth, with interactive product displays of CNC technology; machine safety concepts; drive- and PLC-based, cabinet-free/synchronization solutions; fully integrated mechatronics; anti-slosh/anti-vibration solutions; and VarioFlow Plus conveyor systems. Products include energy efficiency and connected technologies: Open Core Engineering, electrohydraulic solutions, the Nexo cordless WiFi nutrunner, IndraDrive CS, IndraDrive ML high-power drives and EasyHandling Cartesian motion robot systems.
The self-contained showroom is 28 feet long, 13 feet high and 8.6 feet wide and can be accommodated in most factory parking lots, Bosch Rexroth says. The trailer has onboard climate control and video and includes a built-in awning.
