Following the premiere of the Edge Factor Show's latest film, "Metal & Flesh," the crew says it traveled the country filming its all-new “LaunchPoint” TV series. Stops have included Massachusetts, Minnesota, Illinois, Arizona and California. In LaunchPoint, the Edge Factor team will tell real-life stories of men and women working in advanced manufacturing, conveying their experiences and portraying people who empowered them along the way.

The team says the series will provide insights on training and professional pathways that postgraduates took to launch rewarding manufacturing careers. The purpose of the series is to show viewers models they can emulate as they consider how to launch their own careers in manufacturing. 

LaunchPoint airs on TV on Cox7 Arizona in May 2014. The content will also be available to classrooms and businesses through  the Edge Factor’s “EduFactor Kit,” a manufacturing education and recruitment kit featuring multimedia resources. The kit is designed to provide educators and employers with tools to change the image of manufacturing and inspire parents and students to pursue manufacturing careers.

The Edge Factor team says the partners who have helped make LaunchPoint a reality include Haas Automation, Sandvik Coromant, Mastercam, Koma Precision, Tooling U, PLTW, NIMS, 91ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ÎÛ and ME Media.
