Heller Machine Tools is changing its business model in the North American market, transitioning to both direct and distributor-based sales and service. The move is expected to provide customers with a more local interface that can provide sales, engineering and customer support through a new distribution network while still maintaining its existing direct Key Account business.
Heller’s new distribution partnership is with Ellison’s Advanced Technologies Business Unit, with specific representation in Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Ellison Technologies is part of Japan-based Mitsui & Co. Ltd.
“Ellison Technologies can provide our customer base with a high level of engineering and sales support. They provide excellent geographical coverage with their network of offices and technical centers. This all means a better more focused customer support experience for both existing and new customers,” says Steve Pegram, director of Heller Machine Tools. “With our new distribution partnerships now in place, Heller will be introduced to new markets and business sectors, offering high-quality performance machine tools. In addition to our newest partner Ellison Technologies, our current distribution partners include, Ellison Machinery, Maruka and Compumachine, offering complete coverage in North America.”
