Machine tool builder Mazak (Florence, Kentucky) has expanded the online portion of its comprehensive Progressive Learning program to include four Mazak-specific programming classes, which are offered in partnership with ToolingU.com. The new classes are designed to provide a Web-based, self-paced introduction to the company’s machine controls, which enable shops to program with Mazatrol in either a conversational or EIA/ISO environment.
Two of the four new classes teach Mazatrol EIA/ISO (G-code) programming for mills and turning machines, while the other two teach Mazatrol conversational programming for mills and lathes. The four join 16 other Mazak-specific courses available at ToolingU.com. All follow the company’s Progressive Learning program, a tiered approach in which the format and structure of each class is determined according the complexity and applicability of the course content as well as the best means for delivering that content to the user.
