Ringspann Expands North American Operations
The new North America product manager, Joe Thompson, will head the effort to expand the company’s workholding offerings on the continent.

Ringspann Corp. (Franklin Park, Illinois) has announced the expansion of its precision workholding products in North America. To facilitate this expansion, Ringspann has hired Joe Thompson as workholding product manager for North America.
Established in 1944, Ringspann is privately held, family-owned business headquartered in Bad Homburg, Germany. With over 450 employees and operations in 16 counties, Ringspann is a global manufacturer of workholding for turning, grinding, gear shaping and balancing.
As product manager, Mr. Thompson will be supported by and work closely with both Ringspann’s U.S. and German headquarters to come up with business strategies, develop localized manufacturing and provide engineering support for the North American market.
Mr. Thompson brings 26 years of experience with manufacturing process development and machine tool sales. He has worked in machine tool sales, product and sales management and business development for companies including DMG MORI, Makino and Mitutoyo.
