Zoller has joined OMIC R&D (), a collaborative established with Boeing leadership. Zoller, a tool presetting, measuring, inspection and software management supplier, is contributing a Titan tool measuring machine to OMIC.
“Zoller brings weight to OMIC R&D’s inspection and measuring capabilities, bolstering the strength of our partnership model. Their voice is critical to our efforts to help manufacturers increase their ability to quickly and effectively evaluate the quality of their products,” says Craig Campbell, executive director of OMIC R&D.
OMIC R&D’s mission involves bringing together manufacturing companies and higher education. Faculty and university students undertake applied research to solve production problems while training the next generation of engineers and technologists to meet demand for skilled workers in advanced metals manufacturing.
“Zoller will be bringing some of its best capabilities to OMIC R&D as it seeks to solve the industry’s challenges,” says Zoller’s Michael Gallier, regional sales manager for the Pacific Northwest. “We are committed to excellence, and it is clear that is OMIC’s focus as well. We look forward to working together with a strong, diverse group of industry and academic partners and are confident that Zoller’s contribution will impact the future of metals manufacturing.”
