GE Fanuc’s Proficy RX 2.0, a component in the company’s Proficy software suite for production management, integrates hardware and software devices to collect and analyze data for a holistic view of the manufacturing process. According to the company, this view helps users gain insight to improve overall operations, including increased capacity utilization, reduced manufacturing cycle times and improved product quality.
The component is a comprehensive, integrated solution that can be applied to applications such as reaction monitoring, drying, blending and delivering rapid time-to-solution for manufacturing operational improvement.
Features of the software include a visual script wizard, RX OPC server, SQL server database and advanced process analytics.
The data collection and data analysis capabilities enable the software to process a large of amount of critical production data to be processed quickly and accurately, the company says. Furthermore, the ability to interface with third-party, multivariate analysis (MVA) applications enables the software to be deployed in existing applications already using MVA software.
