. is expanding its AccuGrip shrink-fit toolholder product offering with its new AccuKool shrink-fit toolholder, which features coolant port holes through the body of the holder. This helps to maintain the thick, strong body design and superior grip strength. Hole size, design and angle are critical to minimize the negative impact of airflow, so the AccuKool is designed for the placement of coolant into the centrifugal “vortex” intersection created by the rotation of cutting tools for maximum flow to and through cutting flutes. The improved coolant flow can help improve tool life, part finish and overall productivity, according to the company.
