Scientific Cutting Tools offers a complete line of full Acme and stub Acme single-profile thread mills with thread sizes ranging to 1 ¼" – 5".
Manufactured from solid carbide for maximum tool rigidity, the tools’ single-profile design provides a controllable pitch diameter and cut depth, the company says. Tools will cut both right- and left-hand threads at low horsepower requirements compared to tapping.
Micro-grain carbide, uncoated and TiAlN-coated, long-reach tools are available from stock for unfavorable length to diameter ratios. While the Acme thread mills are designed for cutting internal threads, optional external threading tools are available.
