Elementum 3D’s AL6061-RAM2% product is an aluminum 6061 powder material said to achieve properties comparable to wrought 6061-T6 on existing laser powder-bed fusion equipment. Elementum 3D’s reactive additive manufacturing (RAM) technology has enabled the printing of production-quality 6061.
Aluminum 6061 is a commonly used alloy in the aerospace, automotive and defense industries. According to the company, advantages of the product include cost-effective print speeds and quality surface finish, combined with the familiarity of 6061.
