The company has introduced the WE14-125 Plus 5" Angle Grinder, a variable-speed grinder/cutoff machine featuring automatic electronic speed stabilization. The WE14-125 is used for applications requiring quick stock removal and/or efficient cutting.
The new grinder is powered by the company's Marathon 12 amp motor, with winding protection that prevents damage from dust for longer motor life. Disc speed is variable from 7,000 to 10,500 rpm (no load). Electronic speed stabilization maintains disc speed under load for material removal.
When equipped with the Slicer abrasive wheel, the grinder easily cuts through a range of building and construction materials. The wheel guard can also be adjusted without tools, allowing operators to quickly shift from grinding to cutting.
The tool is equipped with the S automatic safety clutch, which prevents sudden reverse torque in the event of jams or snags, as well as with electronic thermal overload protection for longer life, the company says.
