Intially designed as a custom grinder for a specific customer need, Kalamazoo Industries’ BG142 back-stand belt grinder is now part of the company’s standard line. It offers multi-position contact from vertical to horizontal and full work movement from left to right. The grinder is designed for aggressive grinding and beveling with the platen in place. Remove the platen, and the narrow belt allows slack-belt grinding and finishing of tight inside-radius parts.
The BG142 grinder features a 1" × 42" grinding belt with 6" × 2," serrated, 70-duro contact wheel; a removable platen; and a 1 ¾" × 4" worktable. A ½-hp, 110-V TEFC motor delivers a speed of 5,400 sfm.
