3D Systems will be showcasing its GibbsCAM CNC programming software, with demonstrations focusing on programming, simulation and postprocessing for standard and Swiss-type multitasking machines. GibbsCAM MTM software provides all the turning and multi-axis milling functions for programming multitasking machines in a single, shop-friendly interface, the company says. The Machine Simulation module helps ensure accurate, reliable and efficient tool motion before sending CNC programs to the machine. The software also features a library of over 1,800 postprocessors to support the growing variety of standard and Swiss-type multitasking machines from nearly 100 manufacturers. Each postprocessor has been developed for a specific combination of machine, machine options, machine control and shop process preference.

Equipped with automatic bar feeders and part catchers, multitasking machines are often operated unattended, lights-out; GibbsCAM’s ability to program and postprocess all the functions and auxiliary operations makes it the ideal programming system for these machines, the company says.
