Bilz offers its SCK Synchro chuck as a replacement for its discontinued SC Synchro chucks. The chuck is engineered to handle coolant-through, air-through and MQL applications as a single unit. It is suitable for left- and right-hand threading applications, high-pressure coolant ranging to 100 bar (1,400 psi), and safe transmission of torque, even when high-pressure coolant and axial load are applied. The chuck also features a new “eleastomer” design for improved performance. A sealed assembly makes the chuck maintenance-free under normal operating conditions, the company says. Two styles are available: one using the ER tap collet system and one using the Bilz BZ-style slim collet for restricted area applications.
