Available from YMT, L&L Machinery Industry’s LL-series ultra-rigid CNC flat-bed lathe is designed for extra long and large workpieces that require heavy turning, threading and boring operations, such as those required by the aerospace, utilities, oil and gas, marine, and heavy equipment industries. The lathe features five hardened and ground boxways and can accommodate workpieces weighing as much as 11 tons. The large work envelope provides a 37.4" maximum cutting diameter and 394" between centers.
The lathe is equipped with a 16" spindle bore and 50-hp spindle motor featuring four-step automatic transmission for improved power and torque. The 12-station heavy-duty turret and oversized tailstock provide versatility. A boring attachment mounted on the sub-carriage makes it well-suited for difficult boring requirements.
