A Windows-based CNC, the Vega MX2 incorporates such CNC technology as high speed block-processing algorithms and an integrated dynamic acceleration/deceleration interpolator with block look ahead. This technology makes the product useful even for older machines, the company says.

The software includes both hand wheel and pushbutton jog interfaces, programmable cycles, origins, mirroring andÌýscaling. It also featuresÌýtool length and cutter diameter compensation, as well asÌýfive axis rotational tool center point (RTCP).Ìý

With as many as 8 simultaneous axes, the CNC has 216 points of I/O. Standard hardware features include a color LCD display, hard drive, floppy drive, CD ROM drive, a hand-held pendant, and standard Windows-based networking. Integrated diagnostics include man-readable error messages and full I/O display.
