Cobra Carbide’s Krait end mills are designed to slot, rough and finish steel, stainless steel and high-temperature alloys at high feed rates, resulting in reduced production time and improved productivity. The end mills accommodate increased loads per tooth, which produces thinner chips due to smaller depth of cut. Short chipping carries heat away from the cutting edge and increases tool life, the company says. The flute design minimizes cutting forces, which reduces vibration and increases rigidity. CG coating also increases hardness and wear resistance to increase tool life.
