Lean Selection, a Junker brand, offers the universal external/internal cylindrical grinding machine “silver,” which is designed to produce individual parts or a small series of parts. Suited for automotive manufacturers and suppliers, the silver can be used for applications from general machine construction to toolmaking. It also makes an ideal entry-level system for CNC external/internal cylindrical grinding, the company says.
The grinding machine is also suited for high-precision contract manufacturers. Applications range from repairs, such as straightforward regrinding of external diameters, to grinding workpiece series, for which an extensive package of options and accessories is available.
For flexibility, the machine can be operated with either electronic handwheels or with CNC software for series production. Due to the icon-based dialog programming of the Fanuc 21i, even newcomers to the field of CNC cylindrical grinding are soon familiar with the controls and able to professionally execute pendulum, plunge-cut, cone, shoulder or internal grinding tasks, the company says.
