Renishaw’s XCal-View analysis software package is designed for use with the data captured by its LaserXL, RotaryXL and Laser10 laser calibration systems. The program offers simple data manipulation and greater flexibility in comparing, displaying, formatting and viewing data. According to the company, the program is the first part of a planned suite of software covering data capture, analysis and error compensation.
The software enables analysis of the most commonly used measurement types in CNC machine tool calibration, including linear, angular, rotary, straightness, squareness and parallelism data. Features include a revised GUI with an emphasis on ease of use; new analysis standards, including ISO230-2(2006) and the equivalent JIS B and GB/T standards; data set comparison with graphic overlay; zero-point shifting for offsetting data; reporting, sharing and exporting with new PDF printing and reporting; and general error compensation. The improvements are said to enable an increased rate of analysis with greater customization and control.
