The company’s latest Visiport model, the VP220C, is a spin window system designed to provide visibility into machines with coolant system pressures of 1,000 psi, such as those found on through-tool coolant delivery systems. Also available is the DiscAir 175T Turbo, which comes standard with Diamond-like, carbon-coated glass for resistance to chip activity and low maintenance cost. The company says the ability to observe the machining process at all times, even during intensive coolant use, can increase worker productivity by reducing the time taken for setup and prove-out.  Normal installation requires no holes in the machine tool window and increases the life of polycarbonate safety panels, the company says. Additionally, the systems help address safety concerns because users have no need to bypass machine interlocks. Operators can view the process while remaining behind the safety window of the machine.Â
