This entry-level line of waterjets is geared toward fabrication shops, metal service centers, trade schools and job shops, as well as architectural, sign, stone and gasket shops.

The Maxiem brand of basic abrasive waterjets from Omax is intended to meet international performance standards while offering differing specifications from other Omax products in order to broaden the market for abrasive waterjets. This entry-level line of waterjets is geared toward fabrication shops, metal service centers, trade schools and job shops, as well as architectural, sign, stone and gasket shops.
The first waterjet to be released in this line is the 1530MX, which is designed to produce large parts or multiple parts from large stock. It cuts a wide variety of materials, including metal, plastic, glass, ceramics, stone and composites. The machine’s 50,000-psi pump is available with 20 or 30 hp. Each machine in the line will feature the Intelli-MAX Basic, a control containing the core functionality of the company’s software as well as the X- and Y-axis Traction Drive System, which is designed to handle abrasive environments.
