Rust Rid is a water-based, neutral-pH product that contains no acidic or caustic components. The hard-water-stable fluid is designed to free rusted parts of corrosion and is said to be an alternative to acid-based rust removers. The product has no heavy metal or hazardous ingredients, and it is effective when used in cost-effective, low concentrations, the company says. It is low foaming and suited for removing rust even from complex surfaces and geometries.
