Techniks’ Flexible ER collet system is designed to handle a variety of machining tasks, including drilling, milling, coolant-through, tapping and high-speed applications, without requiring new toolholders. The system consists of an ER toolholder, ER precision collets and a Power Coat nut.
Toolholders are available for CAT, HSK, BT and ISO spindle types. Rigid Tap, Floating Tap and Quick-Change Tap collets provide tapping capabilities without the need for expensive tap holders and collets, the company says. ER Precision and Ultra-Precision collets are available in sizes ranging from ER8 through ER40. Black Gold coolant rings and Power Coat coolant nuts are designed to provide high-pressure coolant without requiring coolant-through cutting tools.
