The Evolution Series metalworking filtration system from Ebbco is designed for precision machining and grinding of carbide, tool steel, PCD and ceramics. The system is said to condition coolants and oils to 1 micron, while controlling temperature to avoid thermal distortion.
The system measures 90"-long x 39"-wide and provides and access lid for filter changes. It uses five filter cartridges that offer 210 sq. ft. of surface area and total capacity to hold to 150 lbs of carbide sludge. The chiller uses a digital temperature controller that tracks ambient temperature to maintain temperature consistency throughout the machine. Extended-area filter baskets act as a high-volume pre-filter for tool-steel applications. A filter service beacon indicates when filter change-out is needed.
