Miyano says its BX-26S dual-spindle gang-tool lathe offers complete part machining of complex bar work in diameters of 1" and smaller in one setup. For precision and fast cycle times, the machine features two gang slides and a 3D linear turret. It is useful for machining complex medical components such as valves, implants and surgical tools.
With a footprint of 87" × 52", the machine is equipped with built-in spindle motors and high-rigidity linear guides that enable turning at speeds as fast as 8,000 rpm. It includes 5-hp left and right spindles; capacity for eight, 4,000-rpm revolving tools; cutoff confirmation by spindle torque; a parts catcher and conveyor; 160-psi coolant; right spindle inner coolant; and rapid traverse rates of 944 ipm in all axes.
