GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms offers DataViews v9.20, a set of high-quality graphic visualization development tools for building custom applications in industries such as manufacturing, aerospace and infrastructure. This version is updated for the Intel Solaris 10 UNIX-based operating system running on the X86 architecture. It includes features that increase graph configurability, enhance fill effect properties/dynamics and enable transparent backgrounds.
This dynamic visualization toolkit allows users to develop high-quality visualizations within their applications to fit specific needs. The company says the toolkit, which is part of the company’s open and layered strategy of software development, is easy to use. It also offers multi-platform support as well as delivers high speed performance of visualization updates.
Applications created with this system can be found in various industries for a variety of custom applications including an onboard combat tank battlefield identification system, a metropolitan traffic control system and a warship damage control system. According to the company, the system’s benefits include saving programmers development time and allowing graphical objects to be developed and imported quickly and easily rather than having to develop them in code.
The system is said to be a Windows/Linux alternative for the in-house development of dynamic application interfaces. Using the toolkit’s open API, developers can effectively and efficiently create complex, high-performance customized interfaces for control and visualization applications, the company says.Â
