Built for production-type single ID grinding, Okamoto Corporation says its IGM-2MB is useful for hydraulic components, machine parts, gears and more. Equipped with a table motor drive system instead of hydraulic servo valve, the machine achieves the same 500 reciprocation as 2-mm table stroke. With two different table speed settings for course or fine work, the grinder features a color LCD monitor capable of 36-recipe storage and selected manual switch position. Other features include ID grinding range of 0.24" to 8", a 5-hp motor, grinding stroke as high as 8" and a table speed ranging from 50 to 800 ipm. Spindle speed ranges from 10,000 to 60,000 rpm.
