Emag’s VLC 100 G vertical grinding center is designed for small chucked components with a maximum diameter of 100 mm. The machine utilizes an onboard pick-up system for self-loading. While one workpiece is being machined, the operator or automation system can place raw parts on the conveyor belt.
The grinding center can accommodate both internal and external grinding spindles. It has the capability to use two spindles to perform different grinding operations, or to handle both rough- and finish-grinding work to reduce grinding time. In this setup, the first wheel removes excess material from the raw part at high feed rates while the second wheel performs finishing work.
The standalone machine is programmed with Emag’s Navigator software. An optional measuring probe can be integratedbetween the machining area and pick-up station, where it is protected from contamination.
