Vomat’s FA-series fine-filtration systems, available from oelheld, provide grinding oil quality to purity Class 7 NAS with a particle size of 3 to 5 microns to ensure that coolant remains in good quality for economical production grinding.
These filtration systems provide full-flow, non-bypass filtration of oil. The filter cartridges are automatically cleaned with 100 percent separation of clean and dirty oil, the company says.
The filters capacity, combined with the on-demand backwash cycle, promote increased service life of the coolant which also preserves tool quality and saves coolant costs. Coolants don’t have to be changed as often, storage and disposal costs decrease, and the shop’s environmental footprint will decrease, the company adds. Clean coolants will also protect cutting tools, pumps and slideways besides preventing clogging.
