GWS Tool Group announces the GWS series BXS forming tap, crafted from powdered metal with a TiCN coating, which is tailored specifically for steel applications. This tap uses chipless operation to displace material and create stronger threads. The forming lobe geometry is intended to optimize performance and create a solution for high-efficiency production. Designed for longer tap life and better thread gaging, the BXS series can reduce downtime and maintenance costs. Conforming to ANSI tap blank dimensions, this tap is said to provide reliability and precision for demanding tapping applications.
