Oelheld’s high-speed grinding oil, ToolGrind T600, is manufactured from high-quality base oils with improved viscosity and temperature characteristics, and low misting and aromatic content, the company says. The oil is fortified with efficient additives, enabling it to perform under high pressure, and its active agents promote cooling, wetting and lubrication. The non-toxic additives are free from chlorine, silicone and heavy metals.
According to the company, the oil keeps the grinding wheel clean and free of debris during operation while also reducing wheel force, workpiece temperature and grinding wheel wear. The oil does not foam, and its low viscosity is said to promote good flushing and cooling. The ToolGrind T600 reduces workpiece corrosion and is suitable for most filtration systems. The operative range covers a variety of high-speed grinding operations, including profile, groove and surface grinding with cubic boron nitride (cBN), diamond or silicon carbide wheels. The oil is suitable for many conventional metals, including hard metal and high-alloy steel.
