Machining Electrodes And Hardened Materials
Share

The HSD-500 high speed, bridge-type machining center offers a 30,000-rpm, 12-hp spindle for electrode machining or high speed machining of hardened materials. The machine uses the Creative Evolution’s own PC-based CNC control, which provides five-axis simultaneous contouring and look-ahead capabilities. A 16-tool ATC is standard, as are 20.85" × 15.8" × 15.8" XYZ travels and 600-ipm rapid traverse. The machine has various dust collection features built-in, and an optional dust collector is available. A more affordable 45,000-rpm, 4-hp spindle that uses HSK-40E toolholders is also available.
