To help companies meet tolerances and achieve repeatability, Advanced Industrial Measurement Systems (AIMS) offers its Revolution-series HB shopfloor coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Designed and built on Renishaw five-axis technology, the Revolution HB is a mobile five-axis CMM that is said to be able to cut inspection time from days to minutes for applications such as aerospace components.
The unit is designed for easy mobility, featuring a polymer-cast base and a roll-around stand with casters that can be locked in place. The machine runs on standard 110-V power, eliminating the need for shop air. Built-in vibration resistance, mechanical bearings and thermal stability give the Revolution HB the durability it needs to withstand the rigors of shopfloor use. The CMM features a Renishaw PH20 probe head which provides high accuracy and repeatability, and performs faster than conventional probe heads, according to the company.
