Liebherr Automation Systems is displaying its PHS Allround pallet handling system, designed for enabling flexible production in combination with four- and five-axis machining centers. The modular concept, available in three capacities, can handle loads up to three tons, is extremely flexible, and can be individually configured and expanded, the company says. The system corresponds to pallet sizes of 500 × 500 mm to 1,000 × 1,000 mm.
Preconfigured modules can be combined as needed. The storage locations can be arranged in a circular pattern with one or more machines, or in a line. According to the company, the system fits in almost every production floor. The production system is expandable, enabling companies to add more machines as production changes.
With the system, the company offers a cell control that is said to emphasize simple operation. The graphically-guided interface concentrates functions on the main computer in a user-friendly manner, and if required also enables full production control. This includes resource planning, cutting tools and NC data management, and interface with ERP systems.
