The CNC PAC from Phase-A-Matic is designed to provide the balanced voltages necessary for reliable operation of CNC/PLC machines, including AC and DC motor drives, or any voltage-sensitive, three-phase equipment operating from a single-phase power source.
When properly sized, the combination of a rotary phase converter and a voltage stabilizer provides the necessary balance of close to ±5 percent or less between legs, compared to standard three-phase line voltage of ±10 percent. It also helps to keep the output voltage stable during peak loads, which helps most CNC/PLC and other voltage-sensitive equipment to operate properly, the company says.
A simple design reduces the risk of electrical connection failure. Only soldered connections are used, with no mechanical electrical connections such as spade clips, terminals or screws, which can vibrate loose or corrode over time.
Most CNC/PLC machines require a CNC PAC that is 1 ½ to 2 times larger than the spindle motor to accommodate the extra amps for starting; instant reversing; and for the servos, hydraulics and more.
