Leaders-In background

An integrated CAD/CAM/CAE solution, NX PLM software has a variety of new functions to improve part-manufacturing productivity including integrated CAM and CMM capabilities. NX Turbomachinery Milling is designed to speed NC programming for complex five-axis, multi-bladed rotational parts. This application for blisk and impeller machining offers a set of automated, context-specific functions that are said to simplify the creation of efficient toolpaths for such complex parts. The new capability is supported by existing functions in NX CAM including machining simulation driven from the post processor output.

NX CMM Inspection Programming works in the context of a 3D solid model environment that includes the CMM and the part. Inspection features and probing paths are automatically generated from the product and manufacturing information data attached to the 3D design model to speed inspection time. The integrated application offers simulation and collision avoidance to help validate CMM programs as well as machine and probe library content designed to improve CMM programming efficiency.
