Hardinge, in conjunction with Tsugami, offers a range of collets for Swiss-style CNC and cam-operated lathes. Headstock, pickoff and emergency collets are available as well as guide bushings, and most styles and brands of Swiss machines are supported.
TF43 headstock collets are designed for precision machining with precise size and TIR, as well as standard accuracy, Hardinge says. BS38 pickoff collets are available in standard length or extended nose designs. Extended nose models may be straight or tapered to compensate for tooling interference.
The TF37SP collet is available in emergency and extended-nose emergency styles for use when a standard collet is not readily available. These collets can be machined to the desired bore size and used until a hardened collet is available. The extended-nose style adds length to perform pickoff work and compensate for tooling interference.
The STM38 guide bushing is carbide-lined to keep stock clean and unmarked; hardened steel- or Meehanite-lined bushings are also available.
