The Haas HRC210 high speed rotary table is driven by a roller cam system with a high-torque servomotor driving a globoidal cam. The cam meshes with followers equally spaced around the diameter of a roller gear. Needle bearings in the followers provide smooth contact with the cam, and a precise cam profile ensures accurate speeds and motion, the company says. The roller drive is preloaded during assembly, and the system is said to yield high stiffness, torque and speeds while reducing wear and maintenance.
The 21-mm (8.3") rotary table provides cutting and indexing speeds ranging to 830 degrees/sec. Indexing accuracy is ±30 arc-sec. with repeatability of 4 arc-sec. Maximum spindle torque is 110 foot-pounds (149 Nm) for synchronous fourth-axis machining. A pneumatic break yields 134 foot-pounds (182 Nm) of holding torque for stationary work. The 8.27" (210-mm) platter offers a center height of 6.000" (152.40 mm), ±0.001", with a 2.00" × 1.91" (50.8 × 48.5-mm) deep pilot bore and 1.77" (45 mm) through-hole. Six radial T-slots simplify fixture and workpiece mounting, and both manual and pneumatic tailstocks are available for additional workpiece support. The table is compatible with Haas mills using software version 18.13 or later with optional axis drives installed.
