NT Tool’s CTZ R-Zero runout-adjustable toolholders are designed for large diameter cutting tools. Utilizing the company’s original four-point adjustment mechanism, runout at the tool tip can be adjusted to as little as 0 to 2 microns on cutting tools with shank diameters ranging from 1" to 1.5" (25 to 42 mm).
 
Unlike common, single-point adjustment mechanisms, the four-point adjustment mechanism is said to quickly and easily adjust cutting tool runout. By tightening the four adjustment screws, runout at the tool tip can be reduced to 0 to 2 microns, regardless of the maximum runout location. 
 
According to the company, the toolholder is ideal for precision holemaking operations, especially large-diameter reaming. Minimized runout is said to improve surface finish and tool life as well as provide consistent hole diameters.
 
The toolholder is available in shank styles including CAT (standard and two-face contact); BT (standard and two-face contact); HSK; and UTS. Designed to complement the HDZ R-Zero toolholder series (for cutting tools ranging from 0.5 to 22 mm), it is offered in 25-, 32- and 42-mm metric sizes and 1", 1.25" and 1.5" sizes. MC collets are available for cutting tools of other sizes.
