PRAB offers its Oscillator Conveyor for transfer of hot, dry or wet abrasive metal scrap or finished parts across long horizontal distances. The conveyor is designed with an eccentric drive configuration that moves material forward at a rate of 10 to 20 fpm. The technology enables a single drive unit to convey material 200 ft. Durable, multi-ply fiberglass springs provide a smooth, quiet flow and discharge. Designed for low-maintenance, a single drive uses only four bearings, and lubrication points are centrally located for easy access. The conveyor can be installed alongside or beneath presses in a pit. The low cost per foot and operation makes the Oscillator Conveyor an economical choice for conveying long horizontal distances, the company says.
A watertight trough can be made in square or flared styles, and surfaces can include smooth, urethane, abrasion-resistant or rigidized steel. Other options include a screening and sorting configuration with multiple discharge options to remove fines, fluids or sand from metal scrap.
