Leaders-In background

Exact Software’s JobBoss 11 combines traditional enterprise resource planning (ERP) with related software solutions for human resource management (HRM) as well as production and workflow management. The company says the software enables manufacturers to meet tight, ever-changing deadlines. The ability to more accurately schedule and reschedule jobs, as well as reallocate resources and workcenters, allows organization to fulfill delivery promises as quoted, the company says.

The software provides customers with projected delivery information during the quoting process; manages work center capacity down to the shift level; allows better workflow management using finite scheduling to find workcenter bottlenecks; drives the shop schedule based on material availability; forecasts the impact on workcenter loads and delivery schedules using “what if” scenarios; and gains immediate visibility into scheduled late jobs, missed deliveries, missed starts, unapproved jobs, jobs over estimates and jobs waiting on materials.

Additionally, ShopBoss, an advanced scheduler that comes with JobBoss 11, includes an interactive dashboard that is designed and built specifically for the production scheduler. This dashboard provides visibility into the scheduled late jobs, missed job starts, jobs running over estimates and jobs waiting on materials. This allows the scheduler to immediately address issues needing attention.

The software’s numerous enhancements include enhanced material linking, variable capacity per shift/per day, improved performance of global scheduling, increased visibility into the potential scheduling problems and employee job assignment capabilities.
