Junker’s Jumat 6S 18-20-18 grinder enables single-clamping grinding for short cycle times by simultaneously using three grinding wheels and ensuring maximum quality. Wheelheads on all three grinding wheels feature separate X and Z axes, enabling simultaneous workpiece grinding. One grinding spindle ensures precise taper and plane surfaces (X1, Z1), another takes care of the shoulder (X2, Z2), while the last spindle grinds the internal diameter and shoulder (X3, Z3).
The machine offers advantages in grinding gear wheels because of the workpiece support design, which consists of a hydrostatic bearing and precision power chuck. The center clamp enables the workpiece to be ground simultaneously on both sides.
The Jumat series, the company says, is designed for high quality, short cycle times, and high availability and versatility, with its various sizes and grinding spindle versions.
